Amateur Radio Military Appreciation Day

ARMAD is an annual Non-Political Amateur Radio Public Service project that stands for Amateur Radio Army Appreciation Day. We work with National Military Appreciation Month in May. We also offer other events and work with other groups as required during the year.

We ask Amateur Radio Operators around the world to cooperate in this effort to enable people from our community to gather in public places such as shopping malls, parks, hospitals, etc. VA institutes and sporting events to express their active support by word of mouth "LIVE" on two way radio stations for members of the Army, Veterans, Reserves, National Guard, Retired, Union Forces, First Responders and Military Support Teams.

Many of us have friends, relatives, or neighbors who are serving in the military and have been members of the armed forces. ARMAD gives us the opportunity to support each other, and to express our thanks and appreciation to those who have sacrificed and served in the Armed Forces.
