History of Legal Assistants Day

Legal Assistants has made essential strides towards ensuring the rights of people everywhere, but where did legal aid really begin to appear in society? Legal Assistants Day was established in New York at first.

However, it was only a century later that the federal government in the United States was able to incorporate that system into their structure. The establishment of the Legal Services Office of Economic Opportunity was first developed in 1965, helping to establish the independent Legal Services Company.

Following that growth, more than 260 legal services were established in all 50 states, assisting with legal matters to more than 10,000 poor people. During the 1980s, the time of legal services experienced a tremendous growth in popularity, but it was not until the 2000s that the structure was strengthened because of the economic collapse, which its replacement has developed community legal assistants.

The purpose of Legal Assistants Day is to help new graduates in the legal department get job applicability training, help people solve their legal problems, and help people in the community to solve problems they have to face and do not know how to solve.

During this day, volunteers come to help organize events for their attorneys at their legal office so they can continue to assist their community in legal disputes.

This is also a time to appreciate those who work tirelessly to solve legal problems by taking the time to understand the law and using it to help those in need.
