History of National Student Nurse Day
Student Nurses are at the forefront of technology, learning the latest life-saving techniques. At the same time, they are practicing skills in programs that build on medical science. Every year, the demand for nurses is increasing. Nowadays, the nursing field needs more people dedicated to the field of medicine. Their drive to care, learn and specialize in nursing will make a difference in the lives of millions of individuals and families who love them every year.
A registered nurse (RN) will attend four years of nursing school to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing. Nurses also branch out into specialties to advance their careers into other areas of medicine.
National Student Nurse Day celebrates these students and their achievements.
Why National Student Nurse Day?
National Student Nurse Day was established to honor students pursuing nursing careers and encourage them and make them feel valued. Being part of National Nurses Week means a lot to medical professionals. It encourages them to do well in their studies so that they become excellent medical professionals.
Student nurses in their academic pursuits are strategically positioned to leverage technology and use it as key drivers of their careers and professional practice. Technology has made it possible for them to be exposed to the latest life-saving techniques. In the same way, they practice skills that will help them add value to their patients' lives by meeting their medical needs.
Likewise, student nurses practice skills in the programs their respective institutions have set out for them. These programs are established in the medical sciences. With the increasing demand for nurses that we see every year, the nursing field demands more than those who are not only passionate about medicine but also dedicated to deliver quality medical care.
The motivation of nurses to care for patients they have never seen or never seen before is amazing. They are oriented to learn and specialize in this very complex field that makes a difference in the lives of people all over the world.
To be accredited as a registered nurse (RN), a person must attend 4 years of nursing school to be eligible for a bachelor's degree in nursing. Finally, nurses also divide into different specialties depending on their individual areas of passion and interest, an act that helps them set their lives on a definite career path.
In 1953, Dorothy Sutherland of the United States Department of Health proposed to celebrate Nurses Day. While a statement was never made, National Nurses Week was celebrated the following year. The American Nurses Association established National Student Nurses Day to recognize student nurses in 1998.
