Take your Parents to the Playground Day
Take your Parents to the Playground Day is observed next on Sunday, May 21st, 2023 (170 days from today).
The third Sunday of May every year is National Take Your Parents to the Playground Day in order to encourage children to go outdoors and bring parents to workplace.
Take your Parents to the Playground Day history
At first, PDPlay created Take your Parents to the Playground Day on April 4, 2009 to encourage children to be outdoors and bring their parents to their workplace. This festival belongs to Child & Nature Awareness Month whose creator is Children & Nature Network (C&NN) to spread the importance of creating opportunities for all children to play regularly in a natural outdoor environment. Take your Parents to the Playground Day provides a great opportunity to continue the message of the initiative with families throughout the year.
Celebrating Take your Parents to the Playground Day
Outdoor play has a clear benefit of physical activity that helps build strong muscles and bones. It also engages children's imagination, contributing to the development of creativity as well as self-confidence. However, a child's work does not stop there. Play with others including games, focus and attention. Therefore, you will be taught leadership and negotiation skills through playing. The more children play, the better they are.
There are a lot of benefits with Take your Parents to the Playground Day, and the value of play grows exponentially as the whole family if you and your family take part in together.
How about finding any playground and taking your parents to come and play together. Do not forget to use the hashtag #TakeYourParentsToThePlaygroundDay to share on social media for encouragement and spreading.
