Culture Freedom Day

Culture Freedom Day is commemorated the third Saturday in May since 2012, which aims at educating the worldwide public about the benefits of using and encouraging free culture as well as promoting free culture artists.

Cultural Freedom Day is about liberal culture and is part of the free culture movement. Cultural Freedom Day aims to provide free access to online content and relax copyright laws.

Several countries around the world participate in Cultural Freedom Day, organized by the Digital Freedom Foundation and supported by Creative Commons. There are speeches organized to promote their ideology. This day is related to Software Freedom Day, an awareness day about open source software, and Public Domain Day.
