International Day of Awesomeness is celebrated on March 10 every year. While not perfect, each of us certainly has some or more outstanding and extraordinary qualities. Kevin Lawver led International Day of Awesomeness in August 2007, when it was noticed that his overall greatness needed to be celebrated by one of his interns. In true Lawver style, he declared the need for an International Day of Awesomeness and continued to post this sentiment on twitter. True to the style of those who are associated with unbelievable greatness, it has taken on a life of its own and is now a celebration of epic proportions.

Some of you may be wondering how, exactly, the date is chosen for this auspicious holiday. Well, for those who know the Patronus of Greatness, it should come as no surprise that the date chosen is Chuck Norris's. After all, there are few great fighters and great inspirations like this one. Not long after the holiday began, the motto: "No one is perfect, but everyone can be great". This is the kind of encouragement you need when your day spins, just remember: The truly great people are the ones who take a spiraling situation and turn it to their advantage.

How to celebrate International Day of Awesomeness

Why, just you! Walk down the street and be your unique and wonderful person, and then acknowledge the greatness in others! Get together with a group of friends and put on an awesomelympics show where you perform the most incredible feats imaginable. Whatever you do, it's important to remember that the center of the day is around being awesome and if you're not having fun, you're not going to be great!
