Marine Mammal Rescue Day
Marine Mammal Rescue Day is observed next on Sunday, April 27th, 2025 (136 days from today).
April 27th is Marine Mammal Rescue Day deriving from the United States. We have a huge impact on our oceans and it is affecting every living thing that lives in them.
Marine Mammal Rescue Day is a great opportunity to honor people with a positive effort on the lives of marine life, but it is also a day to reflect on our impact on marine life, climate change as individuals around the world.
We would like to thank everyone who works continuously to give marine mammals a second chance at life, which work closely with rehabilitation centers to ensure these animals, can return to the first condition as its beginning, and some activities such as charities and volunteers also help to clean and tidy up the oceans and beaches.
Our garbage is often mistaken by animals for food, and the garbage they consume can contain toxins that are harmful to them and often lead to death. That's not very fair to innocent wildlife.
It is reported that from there are 3,340 sea lions stranded since 2015. This quantity is more than 10 times the quantity of died sea lions along the coast. This monstrously high number needs to be reduced if we want children to grow up in a world where they can even see sea lions and other sea creatures.
If we do not make a conscious effort to change our attitudes and actions right now, the future of our beautiful marine life is uncertain.
There is still time to help our planet and the life on it. Taking simple actions to change the way you think about what you are doing to prevent pollution will have a big impact.
- Reduce reuse rubbish
- Avoid single-use plastics (e.g. straws, bottles)
- Join and volunteer to clean up the beach
- Educate yourself about ocean conservation
- Treat your waste in eco-friendly ways
It may not seem like much, but if each person does their part, we can have a huge impact. Let's use Marine Mammal Rescue Day effectively in order to inspire human to change them.
