History of World Health Organization Day

As of 2015, WHO has 194 members who are countries or territories around the world. Every May, WHO holds a general meeting of members and nominates the Director-General with financial policies and WHO program budgets.
Since its establishment, WHO has had a total of 9 director-generals from different countries. There is no specific term for each general manager. When the organization feels the need to change the head will meet together and vote. Sometimes if a general director dies suddenly, a temporary person will be appointed until a new general director is found.
WHO has gradually adopted appropriate research and policies, bringing benefits to everyone in order to have a strong position as well as gain the trust of many people. Over the years, the organization has recorded its mark from community activities and received enthusiastic responses. Below are some notable activities since the organization was established.
1947: established "epidemiological information" service by telex network.
1950: use of a vaccine against tuberculosis.
1955: launched the movement to eliminate malaria.
1958: Calls for the whole world to join hands to eliminate smallpox.
1965: Research and publish the first report on diabetes. Established the International Agency for Research on Cancer.
1967: Contributions totaling $2.4 million to worldwide smallpox research and eradication. Along with that launched research on tropical diseases.
1974: Expanded filariasis clinic worldwide.
1979: Smallpox announcement was completely eliminated.
1986: Launched the global HIV/ADIS prevention program.
1988: Planned to completely eradicate polio worldwide.
1998: 50th anniversary of the establishment of the organization. The WHO Director-General informed about the importance of children as well as informed about reducing infant mortality and increasing life expectancy, reducing dangerous diseases.
2001: recorded 68% of the mortality rate of measles has been overcome.
2007: The report on HIV/AIDS prevention solutions has been confirmed.
