April 10^th every year is Encourage a Young Writer Day. Have you noticed the interesting fact that a person with a vivid imagination can be a person who loves to tell stories and reads a lot of books?  These can be signs of a great young writer.

History of Encourage a Young Writer Day

On Young Writers Encouragement Day, all young writers across the United States will receive encouragement to write a story, poem, or any other form of writing. This is a great chance for teachers and elders to help young writers have inspiration to create a story. However, the origin of the date is still a mystery.

Some ways to celebrate encourage a Young Writer Day

• Give them a diary - A diary that provides space for daily writing. One can feel like writing about something anytime and anywhere, so keeping a diary at the ready will be beneficial. Magazines are a space where writers can spread their wings without being judged.
• Help with sources - Provide them with leads, random inspirations that can come from unlikely sources and produce results. One of the methods might be to provide them with easily available writing prompts everywhere.
• Encourage them to write about anything, any subject - Encourage them to write about what they like. One might get inspired to write about a fictional character or a real-life superhero. Allowing freelance writing will push the boundaries of limited records and allow them to find their style.
• Encourage them to read - Reading helps discover and uncover unexpected information. The more they read, the better their writing experience will be. Reading also helps discover new words, improve vocabulary, and more.
• Create a group - Creating a group of young writers will help brainstorm. One can know more about their writing from the reader's point of view and get feedback from their peers.
